Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care to patients in the intensive care unit.
• Assess and manage complex medical cases requiring intensive care.
• Utilize advanced clinical decisionmaking skills to develop effective treatment plans.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Perform invasive procedures such as intubation central line placement and arterial line placement.
• Oversee mechanical ventilation and other life support measures.
• Provide continuous monitoring and adjustment of treatment plans as per patient conditions.
• Participate in daily rounds and communicate updates to the care team.
• Act as a patient advocate and ensure their rights and preferences are respected.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research in critical care medicine.
• Participate in teaching and mentoring medical students residents and fellows.
• Remain updated on evidencebased practices and advancements in critical care.
• Participate in oncall schedules and respond to critical care emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree in Critical Care Medicine or related field.
• Board certification in Critical Care Medicine.
• Proven experience as an Intensivist or in a similar critical care role.
• Expertise in managing critical care cases including sepsis respiratory failure and hemodynamic instability.
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing invasive procedures.
• Strong understanding of advanced life support measures and mechanical ventilation.
• Excellent clinical judgment and decisionmaking skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse healthcare team.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to patient advocacy and delivering highquality care.
• Capability to work effectively in highstress and timesensitive situations.
• Familiarity with quality improvement processes and research methodologies.
• Active licensure to practice medicine in Bihar.
• Willingness to participate in oncall rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Uptodate knowledge of critical care guidelines and best practices.
