Job Description
Job Profile:
1. Overall responsibility for ensuring the Endtoend Network operations across GAIL including all data centers and site offices. Shall handle teams for Network Monitoring & Maintenance Inventory Management Spares management SLA Management Reporting monthly review of all deployed L1 L2 engineers and Escalation support for complex problem resolution to L2 & L1 support engineers.
2. Providing expertlevel support for networkrelated incidents and problems including troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Shall perform packet capturing/debugging of unencrypted and SSL/TLS encrypted traffic from Switches Routers etc. through Wireshark tool for detailed analysis of the issue and resolution within allotted time frame. Shall be responsible for resolving network related issues in EastWest and NorthSouth traffic.
3. Shall be responsible for identifying and resolving network related problems like Video conferencing applications such as MS Teams VidyoConnect BharatVC Webex etc. connectivity issues application slowness routing/ switching issues configuration issues within stipulated timeframe. Shall also analyze whether the issue is on account of abnormality of Network parameters (High Latency Jitter Bandwidth utilization etc.) and take necessary steps to resolve the issue immediately.
4. Shall be responsible for implementing Policy Based Routing (PBR) for application wise traffic routing IPSLA tracks BGP IPSLA netflow etc.
5. Shall be responsible for ensuring that all the Network Devices WAN Links and their bandwidths downtime reports bandwidth utilization reports etc. is correctly configured and uptodate in the GAIL provided NMS tool. Also to ensure that all the sites realtime Business views mail alerts Netflow of configured devices etc. is properly coming in NMS.
6. Shall prepare the configuration configlets for all network devices i.e. router switch etc. in GAIL NMS for bulk configuration including patches update firmware upgradation etc. and implement the same across the network to maintain the uniformity of the configuration.
7. Shall configure static and dynamic routing Static & Dynamic NAT PAT Link load balancing Eroutes Bandwidth Management QOS DNS resolution etc. in deployed Array Link load balancers. Also shall perform troubleshooting and escalating the issue with OEM in case if not resolved within allotted time frame.
8. Shall be responsible for reviewing modification and creation of the all the policies/rules configured in Forescout Network Access Control solution for Detection Classification Assessment Control and 3rd party integrations. Shall perform integration of all switches with 802.1x NAC for preadmission posture assessment.
9. Shall be responsible for configuring new DMZs/MZs zones for the new applications being hosted in the network data center using Arista SDN technology. Also Includes configure VLANs VXLANs eVPN BGP eBGP etc. Application migration requiring network layer2 and layer3 updates to the transport switching and routing infrastructure in spineleaf fabric configurations.
10. Shall have Indepth knowledge of Cisco SDWAN deployment configuring ZeroTouch Provisioning between vBond vEdge & VManage OMP (Overlay management protocol) SDWAN Security Aspects Segmentation Application monitoring multitenancy etc.
11. Shall coordinate with various FMS support Engineers of respective network devices at DC and DR for quarterly review of policies rules etc. to identify any loopholes troubleshooting of any issues. Assist the support teams to submit the RCA for any major issues within its SLA. Open the TAC cases with OEM and follow up till closure RCA Submissions.
12. Shall manage the entire IP schema VLANs etc. of WAN subnets DC & DR LAN subnets DMZ MZ etc. including the public IPs pools provided by Internet service providers. Bidders needs to provide the IPAM (IP address management tool) for managing the IP addresses as per specifications at Clause 3.E of Scope of Work.
13. Should perform Configuration Implementation and troubleshooting of IP MPLS OSPF BGP EIGRP IPSEC HSRP 802.11 802.1x SNMP IPv6 routing Tunneling HSRP VRRP SLA DHCP DNS FTP TFTP NAT and PAT Switching VTP STP Trunking dot1q Tunnelling etc.
14. Shall be responsible for QoS Implementation across GAIL routers and switches QoS using FIFO weighted fair queuing Priority Queuing Custom Queuing RED CAR MQC based Traffic shaping policing Packet marking and classification.
15. Coordinate with various ISPs OEMs SIs for resolution of any network related issues such as Internet Links issue ILL BGP issue Public IP pools blacklisting issue port blocking issue at ISP end etc.
16. Shall be required to visit GAIL Corporate Office Delhi in case of any major network related issues for identification and resolution.
16. Shall be responsible for taking backup of all the devices of Noida and Jaipur DC as per the GAIL backup policy. The backup shall include but not limited to configuration backup Log backup etc. GAIL will provide the required infrastructure for taking Backup.
17. Shall be responsible for providing the detailed plan of action for the DR Drill other drills and coordinate with other user/technical departments service providers for successful completion of the DR Drill and provide RTO/RPO reports.
18. Shall Handle resourcesshift plan during the contract period and provide attendance reports etc. on monthly basis to GAIL.
19. Should have working knowledge of ISO 27001 and industry standards pertaining to information security.
20. Work closely with Onsite teams on various discussion POC New technology evaluation.
21. Shall ensure that all the audits findings for sites/offices/DC/DR are closed within given time and providing proofs (that can be shown to the auditor) to the GAIL.
22. Coordination with TAC and other escalations with OEM.
23. Other networkrelated jobs assigned by GAIL time to time.

Essential Skills (technical):
Should have complete knowledge of following skills in addition to the technical skills mentioned of L1 (Network) engineer at clause A.1:
Analyze and Capture EIGRP SMTP SSL OSPF HTTP Telnet and many other protocols using Wireshark.
NXOS family Nexus & Catalyst switches like 9K 3K Leaf & spine architecture
MPLS
QoS using FIFO weighted fair queuing
Priority Queuing Custom Queuing RED
CAR MQC based Traffic shaping policing Packet marking and classification.
SD WAN Architecture and components
Cloud networking
SDN (SoftwareDefined Networking) Spine Leaf

Note: Handson lab scenarios based test shall be conducted for deployment finalization of each resource.
