REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 Year Degree in a related field (Supply Chain Engineering Business etc)
• 2 years minimum experience in manufacturing administration.
• General understanding of different manufacturing technologies on site.
• Proficient in the use of computers and MS Windows specifically including Microsoft Word and Excel applications (VBA Experience preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings with GD&T.

JOB PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for directly supporting and coordinating quoting and new part number generation activities. The incumbent is expected to collaborate closely with the commercial team to provide quick turnarounds on quote requests and part number approvals. It is expected for the incumbent to identify inefficiencies in these processes and support implementing solutions.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Act as primary pointofcontact for quote requests including fielding and sorting quotes as well as responding with completed quotes and to other relevant questions.
• Lead daily quoting meeting ensuring all new quotes are reviewed as well as all completed quotes prior to sending to the commercial team.
• Perform routine quoting activity such as obtaining raw material quotes from other JM sites as well as outside suppliers costing of standard products and filling in known information.
• Collaborate with NPI Team to get detailed quoting inputs completed for each manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to determine product lead times.
• Support metric tracking and continuous improvement efforts.
• Communicate the status of quotes accurately concisely and professionally to all stake holders with a special focus on pricing anticipated risks and possible capacity constraints.
• Review and approve new and updated part numbers in document control system including generating accurate part descriptions.
• Assists in development of process documents using MS Excel and Word.
• Complying with Quality Policy Quality Objectives and Quality Operating Procedures.
• Supports production department investigations into Quality concerns.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T call outs.
• May include limited travel requirements less than 10% of time.
