Job Description

Position: Pediatric Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Recess Pediatric Therapy San Gabriel Valley to Greater Los Angeles Area and nbsp;
Employment Type: FullTime / PartTime (minimum 18 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) in conducting thorough evaluations to assess the speech and language therapy needs of pediatric clients.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the SLPs based on assessment results and the unique needs of each child.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of SLPs including interventions to enhance communication skills speech production language comprehension and social communication.
  • Collaborate with families caregivers and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Monitor and document progress towards therapy goals reporting adjustments needed to the supervising SLP.
  • Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support the childs communication development at home.
  • Participate in team meetings case conferences and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices in pediatric speech and language therapy.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Speech Language Pathology Assisting or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant in the state of California.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of speech and language development articulation disorders phonological disorders and other relevant therapy techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with children families and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with research and best practices in pediatric speech and language therapy.
