Integrated Systems EngineerTechnician BMSPMS Networking

Install and configure servers storage systems and networking equipment.


Deploy and manage structured cabling systems including fiber optics and copper cabling.


Perform regular maintenance on IT hardware including servers switches routers and racks.


Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate repairs or replacements.


Install and maintain CCTV and surveillance systems.


Troubleshoot and resolve issues with IPbased security cameras and systems.


Install terminate and test CAT 6 and fiber optics cabling.


Perform fiber optic splicing.


Use OTDR for testing and troubleshooting fiber optic cables.


Manage power distribution and cooling systems to ensure optimal hardware performance.


Support the setup and maintenance of physical security systems within the IT environment.


Maintain accurate records of equipment installations configurations and maintenance activities.


Update infrastructure diagrams and documentation as needed.


Ensure all physical infrastructure complies with industry standards and organizational policies.


Adhere to safety protocols and best practices during installations and maintenance.


Work closely with network engineers system administrators and other IT staff.


Provide support for IT projects and initiatives ensuring timely completion of tasks.


Integrating BMS with HVAC lighting security fire safety systems and PMS with reservation systems POS and payment gateways.


Ensuring compatibility and seamless operation between the BMS/PMS and existing infrastructure.


Setting up communication protocols (e.g. BACnet Modbus) for BMS device interaction.


Ensuring reliable network connectivity for BMS and PMS components.


Providing technical support to building management and hotel staff for BMS and PMSrelated issues.


Training staff on basic troubleshooting steps for both systems.


Ensuring both BMS and PMS are secure from unauthorized access and cyber threats.


Configuring user permissions and access controls for both systems.

Requisitos

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.

Experience:

13 years of experience in physical IT infrastructure or a similar role.


Handson experience with server and network hardware.


Experience with CCTV surveillance systems IP CAT 6 and fiber optics cabling.

Hardware and networking Skills:

Proficiency in installing and managing structured cabling systems.


Strong knowledge of server and networking hardware.


Basic understanding of network protocols and IP addressing.


Understanding of power and cooling requirements for IT equipment.


Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and documentation.


Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.


Proficiency in using OTDR for testing fiber optic cables and splicing.

Basic Software Skills:

Proficiency in installing BMS and PMS software on servers and workstations.


Configuring software settings according to specific building and hotel requirements.

Certifications (preferred):

CompTIA Server CompTIA Network or similar certifications.


Certified Data Center Technician Professional (CDCTP) or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs).


Comfortable working in construction environments including confined spaces.


Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed.
