Job Description

There are two openings. One is on the 2nd shift. You will work MondayFriday 3pm1230am. The other role is a 3rd shift role working a 223 manufacturing schedule. These are 12hour shifts where you get every other Friday Saturday and Sunday off!
The maintenance team comprises about 50 people spread across two buildings. Strong technical bench looking for younger talent to grow and develop.
Overall Purpose:
To proactively maintain and repair plant equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance safety and reliability aligning with RHI Magnesita s commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment including but not limited to:
- Electrical systems motors and controls
- Mechanical components pumps and conveyors
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Instrumentation and control systems
- Electrical systems motors and controls
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions identify root causes and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols procedures and regulations promoting a safe work environment for all employees.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in lean initiatives and suggest improvements to maintenance processes and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with production teams to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and uptodate maintenance records and documentation.
Performance Standards:
- Equipment uptime and mean time between failures (MTBF)
- Adherence to maintenance schedules and work orders
- Safety incident rate
- Completion of required training and certifications
- Quality of maintenance work performed
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Equipment downtime
- Maintenance cost per production unit
- Repair order completion time
- Preventive maintenance compliance
The daytoday work for this role is dealing with both reactive and scheduled maintenance. The team is looking for a strong electrician who is not afraid to turn a wrench. They will also take a strong mechanic with a working knowledge of electricity.
Compensation: Typical range is $2632/hour. Note the team will take a shot on an inexperienced but talented person for $26/hr. They will pay an experienced person well into the $30s an hour. Your experience and enthusiasm throughout the interview process will determine where you land with an offer.
Requirements
Strong electrician who can turn a wrench. Or strong mechanic with a working understanding of electricity.
