Join Our Passionate Team at Clarifi Staffing Solutions! We are seeking dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired who are eager to make a difference in the academic lives of students like you to join our team.
We are interviewing candidates who are passionate about empowering visually impaired elementary and high school students (7 students). This role involves working closely with educators administrators and families to provide essential support and specialized instruction. You will have the unique opportunity to contribute to student success through collaborative efforts and tailored educational programs.
Role Overview:
- Deliver Braille instruction and other literacy skills
- Teach the use of adaptive technology and assistive devices
- Adapt and modify curriculum materials for accessibility
- Complete assessments to determine students needs and monitor progress
- Partner with general education teachers administrators and families
- Advocate for the needs and rights of visually impaired students
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and records
- Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for visually impaired students
Requirements
- Florida State Teaching Certification (endorsement for Teaching Visually Impaired)
- Experience in Braille instruction
- Proficiency with adaptive technology
- Skilled in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs
