Infrastructure Security Architect

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Infrastructure Security Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of infrastructure security principles and practices a solid background in IT architecture and the ability to develop and implement comprehensive security solutions. This role requires a proactive individual who can anticipate security challenges and design strategies to mitigate risks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design and Implementation: Develop and implement security architectures specifically tailored for infrastructure projects. Ensure that security is integrated into all stages of system development and deployment.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Identify potential infrastructure security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Policy Development: Create review and update security policies standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Incident Response: Lead the response to infrastructure security incidents conduct investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT network and operations teams to ensure security measures are in place and adhered to. Provide security guidance and support for infrastructure projects and technologies.
• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
• Technology Evaluation: Stay up to date with the latest security technologies and trends. Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies relevant to infrastructure.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws regulations and industry standards such as GDPR HIPAA and PCIDSS.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security architectures policies procedures and incident reports.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 57 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing infrastructure security architectures.
  • Experience with risk assessment and management.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM CEH or SANS GIAC are highly desirable.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of infrastructure security protocols cryptography authentication and authorization.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls IDS/IPS SIEM and endpoint protection.
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure security architectures (AWS Azure GCP).
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (e.g. Python PowerShell).
• Experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
