Key Purpose:

The Product Development Lead is responsible for leading the design and development function for multiple projects / programs across the division. The role holder oversees the design and development of new parts / components / products and ensures competitiveness and innovation of products processes from performance and design perspective. The role holder is responsible for ensuring delivery of projects / programs as per the targeted cost quality and delivery timelines with strong adherence to APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop plan and budget for ME in alignment to the divisional business plan and product development objectives

2. Responsible for overseeing implementation of projects and managing ME initiatives ensuring reduction in manufacturing costs increase in productivity process efficiency and optimal capacity planning

3. Provide technical expertise and ensure standardisation in ME processes and systems

4. Oversee ME procurement and manage vendor interactions and relations

5. Responsible for managing the team
