2 months contract with a local authority

Job Summary:

To support the Building Services Manager to deliver an effective and efficient facilities management service and to deputise for the Building Services Manager when required.

To manage inhouse repairs and maintenance working alongside the Maintenance Operative to plan and coordinate repairs and refurbishment works. The SFO will need to be hands on with the ability to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.

Key Duties/Accountabilities:

To assist the Building Services Manager with the smooth delivery of hard and soft services on the depot.

To manage the inhouse building repairs and maintenance service; ensuring that job requests received are logged prioritised and completed in a timely manner.

Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks i.e. minor electrical works plumbing carpentry replacing flooring replacing blinds assembling furniture etc.

Essential Experience Required:

Experience of managing a repairs and maintenance service.

Experience of carrying out general building maintenance including carpentry plumbing and general building repairs

Experience of conducting site inspections and health and safety tests i.e. fire bell tests emergency lighting tests etc.

Experience of procuring materials/tools/equipment and ensuring best value .

36 hours per week

09:00am 17:00pm working hours
