Job Description

The Lead SSC Procurement is responsible for ensuring the efficient procurement of materials in alignment with company policies. This role involves identifying evaluating and developing suppliers negotiating prices and terms and reviewing quotations and commercial conditions to make informed purchasing decisions. The position also entails creating purchase orders monitoring material deliveries and payments to suppliers generating weekly KPI reports and leading and motivating the assigned procurement and logistics team. Additionally the Lead SSC Procurement will collaborate closely with managers from other departments to implement and optimize procurement strategies.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems (e.g. SAP SRM).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify completeness and clarity of purchase requests.
  • Obtain and generate necessary information and documentation during various procurement stages.
  • Analyze offers according to established policies and procedures.
  • Create and manage purchase orders in SAP including delivery tracking and reconciliation.
  • Monitor and develop suppliers to manage contracts agreements and payment terms.
  • Supervise the assigned team including workload management and conflict mediation.
  • Address and coordinate supplier quality issues and handle complaints.
  • Prepare and present KPI reports and project status updates.
  • Support project managers procurement managers and category managers in meeting procurement requirements.
  • Review and adhere to terms and conditions for supplier purchases.
  • Provide followup reports to relevant departments as needed.
  • Develop review and implement activities tools and procedures to support and improve procurement functions.
  • Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor subcontractor deliveries to meet schedule and quality requirements.
  • Comply with internal and external regulations and company standards.
  • Identify environmental aspects and impacts of procurement activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment

Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Investigate and address any quality issues or production discrepancies promptly. Work closely with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Promote a safety-conscious culture among employees through training and awareness programs. Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage the plant budget, including expenses related to labor, materials, and equipment. Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and reduce waste in manufacturing processes. Monitor financial performance metrics and implement cost-saving initiatives as needed. Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Manage inventory levels to support production schedules and minimize stockouts or excess inventory. Communication and Reporting: Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on production performance, challenges, and opportunities. Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, production metrics, and operational efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the packaging industry. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
