Job Description
Residential Energy Field Inspector.
Must have certifications in HERS and RFI
Remote but must be in Austin TX Local Candidates only

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detailoriented and knowledgeable Residential Energy Field Inspector to join our Inspectors division. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of residential energy systems a passion for sustainability and a selfstarter with an entrepreneurial mindset. This role involves conducting onsite energy assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic testing on residential homes participating in energy programs.
- Travel to various locations within the designated area to perform inspections.
- Inspect collect data and run diagnostic tests on residential properties.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings.
- Collaborate with contractors and other professionals to implement energy efficiency improvements.
- Stay updated on industry standards best practices and new technologies in residential energy efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and followup actions.
Must Have Skills:
Business owner mentality as the inspector will be the only one in the region and can advance quickly as the region grows.
- 3 years of in field experience
- RFIRated Field Inspector
- HERS rater certification
Additional Qualifications & Technical Skills:
- Reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed at the federal rate).
- Construction experience is nice to have.
Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; will train and help with licensing.
- RFIRated Field Inspector
- HERS rater certification
