Overview: A Millwright Foreman/Engineer is a skilled professional responsible for overseeing and executing complex industrial machinery installation repair and maintenance. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical systems blueprint reading and leadership abilities. The Foreman/Engineer will manage a team of millwrights ensuring optimal efficiency safety and quality in all operations.Responsibilities:Leadership and Supervision:Oversees and coordinates the work of a team of millwrights.Assigns tasks provides guidance and ensures adherence to safety protocols.Evaluates team performance and provides feedback for improvement.Handles employee relations including training discipline and scheduling.Technical Expertise:Possesses indepth knowledge of industrial machinery including installation repair and maintenance procedures.Reads and interprets blueprints schematics and technical manuals.Troubleshoots mechanical issues and implements effective solutions.Ensures compliance with industry standards safety regulations and quality control measures.Project Management:Plans and coordinates major machinery overhauls installations and repairs.Develops project timelines budgets and resource allocation.Monitors project progress and makes necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion.Coordinates with other departments and contractors as needed.Safety and Maintenance:Prioritizes safety by conducting regular safety inspections and enforcing safety protocols.Implements preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment lifespan.Identifies potential safety hazards and implements corrective actions.ProblemSolving and DecisionMaking:Analyzes complex mechanical problems and develops effective solutions.Makes sound decisions under pressure and in rapidly changing situations.Offers innovative approaches to improve efficiency and productivity.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Millwright with a strong leadership background.Indepth knowledge of industrial machinery tools and equipment.Proficiency in blueprint reading welding and fabrication.Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.Additional Requirements:Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects.Willingness to work overtime and irregular hours as needed.
