Draftsman - Tekla and Advance Steel

DRAFTSMAN TEKLA AND ADVANCED STEEL

Our client based in Hitchin (SG post code) who specialise in architectural metal work and structural steel projects are looking to employ on a fulltime permanent basis an experienced Draftsman in Tekla and Advanced Steel software.

Own transport as the workshop / offices aren t readily accessible to public transport.

Draftsman in Tekla and Advanced Steel Offer

Salary ranges from 45k to 60k depending on experience

Hours are MonFri 07:00 16:00 with a halfhour lunch break. A 42.5hour week

Draftsman in Tekla and Advanced Steel Responsibilities

Liaise with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs

Calculate dimensions weight limitations and requirements in materials

Describe production methods stepbystep (including equipment and software types to be used)

Create detailed designs with computeraided design (CAD) software TEKLA Advance Steel

Design diagrams maps and layouts to illustrate workflow

Prepare and review rough sketches and review them with the engineering team

Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality

Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards

Create manuals that describe existing products operation features and maintenance

Initial estimate / calculations of materials required for the desired project

Draftsman in Tekla and Advanced Steel Requirements

Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role

Handson experience with computeraided design (CAD) software

Familiarity with 3D modelling tools TEKLA Advance Steel

Good math skills

Ability to meet deadlines
