Job Description
Our Client is a leading Charity operating across Ireland supporting some of the most marginalized individuals couples and families experiencing Homelessness.
Currently Hiring an experienced Night Support Worker Homeless services for their Dublin Operation. Full time 37.5 hours per week 5/7 days including weekends
we are open to flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- To collaborate with every service user to earn their respect and trust while handling challenging or troubling circumstances with tact.
- Security and surveillance of the building and its surroundings during the night. staffing the lobby as needed
- supervision of clients giving special consideration to clients in need of intensive care and providing assistance as needed.
- When required work with the project team to help residents with personal finances service charge payments etc.
- To assist and motivate clients in acquiring the skills necessary to manage their everyday lives.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of one years experience working in the subject of homelessness or a closely connected field ideally in a residential environment OR A suitable degree preferably Level 5 in the social care psychology nursing etc. field. (Must)
- Possess a high level of education. It would be ideal to qualify for manual handling.
- Recognise damage minimization and low threshold operations
- Recognise the causes of homelessness the problems that homeless people face and the resources that can be provided to serve clients with complex needs.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of risk management.
- Able to act independently to handle situations as they come up and maintain composure in stressful situations
- Possess the ability to collaborate with others and recognize the value of the team.
