We are looking for the Sr. Project Developer, who will be responsible for driving new business in solar energy generation, storage systems, and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure within the Northeast region, including but not limited to Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Exp with utility-scale solar or commercial/industrial renewable energy – MUST HAVE.
What to do:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in solar energy and storage for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale community solar projects.
- Develop business strategies for EV infrastructure to support the increasing demand for fleet electrification.
- Qualify and convert new leads from Marketing and Sales, as well as personal networking efforts.
- Assess project viability concerning siting, interconnection rights, permits, and building layouts.
- Collaborate with legal, marketing, sales, engineering, and finance teams to develop proposals and secure contracts, whether cash purchases or power sale agreements.
- Act as the lead project sponsor to ensure successful financing and customer satisfaction through project completion.
- Manage consultants and vendors to guarantee on-time and accurate project deliverables.
- Assist in pricing estimation, maintaining current pricing spreadsheets through communication with regional suppliers and installers.
- Participate in scheduled team meetings across Development, Operations, Marketing/Sales, and other relevant areas.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and relevant energy market and policy developments through reading, conferences, and other means.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience in the solar/energy sector.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project development, commercial management, business development, or sales, with a strong understanding of technical products and solar/energy markets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of creating compelling offers and responding to bids and solicitations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated business judgment and initiative with minimal supervision required.
- Ability to work dynamically and cross-functionally within regional and energy storage teams.
- Ability to work remotely and utilize technology to stay connected with colleagues in various locations.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Northeast up to 40%.
