Job Description

We are hiring a Medical Scientist New Grad for a Private Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory scientific work to the highest possible standard in accordance with the Laboratory Department s policies procedures and guidelines.
- In cooperation with the Consultant Pathologist Laboratory Manager Senior Medical Scientist and the Chief Medical Scientist participate in the introduction of new ideas and methods according to Hospital policy.
- Participate as required in the registration custody and stock level of the Laboratory reagents and other consumables.
- articipate in facilitating arrangements for educating and training staff
- Adhere to quality standards and ensuring a quality service is provided at all times.
- The post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post and to contribute to the development of the post whilst in office.
Requirements
- Must be registered with CORU or eligible for membership upon completion of study or in the process of applying for state registration.
- Membership or eligible for Membership of the Academy of Clinical and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM)
- An equivalent qualification validated by the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM).
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Medical Science from the Galway/Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT). Or
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) Biomedical Science Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). Or
- Bachelor in Science Honours degree in Biomedical Science from the Joint University College Cork Cork Institute of Technology course AND Diploma in Clinical Laboratory Practice.
