Job Description

Role Purpose:
The Risk Manager will be responsible for the groups enterprise risk management ensuring the effective identification assessment management and reporting of risks across the organisation. The role involves working closely with various units within the group as well as relevant regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
- Implement and manage risk tools (KRIs RCSAs CSAs).
- Oversee policy review cycles and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Design and deliver risk management training programs.
- Develop crisis management and operational resiliency plans.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors.
- Implement Environmental Sustainability and Governance programs.
- Monitor and manage financial risks and thirdparty risk management.
- Prepare risk reports for management and the Board.
- Embed a riskaware culture within the organisation through various initiatives.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Grade 12 and a Bachelor s degree in risk management finance business administration or a related field.
- Extensive experience in risk management preferably in an ERM function.
- Knowledge of ERM frameworks (e.g. COSO) and Solvency Assessment & Management (SAM).
- Proficiency in MS Office and risk management software platforms.
- Excellent communication report writing and presentation skills.
- 35 years of experience in risk management within the financial services sector.
Preferred Qualifications:
- FRM certification (advantageous).
- Membership in relevant risk management associations.
- Experience in managing staff and conducting risk assessments.
