We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Security Architect to join our clients team in Belgium. This role involves designing and implementing robust security architectures and solutions to protect enterprise systems and data. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in cybersecurity a proactive approach to identifying potential security threats and the ability to work effectively with senior management and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive security architectures that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats.

Design and enforce security policies standards and procedures across the organization.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including IT legal and compliance to ensure cohesive security strategies.

Provide guidance and oversight on secure coding practices security testing and incident response.

Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions to enhance the organizations security posture.

Lead security architecture reviews and audits to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.

Stay uptodate with the latest cybersecurity trends threats and technologies to ensure the organizations defenses are current and effective.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Security Architect or in a similar senior security role.

Indepth knowledge of security frameworks standards and best practices (e.g. ISO 27001 NIST CIS Controls).

Proficiency in designing and implementing security solutions across various platforms and technologies.

Strong understanding of network security application security cloud security and data protection.

Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems SIEM and endpoint protection.

Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM or CEH are highly desirable.
