Job Description
Please note that although this position is mainly remote occasional travel will be required for team meetings. Candidates can be located anywhere in Ontario.
Our Client is looking for a fulltime energetic and selfmotivated Software Web Application Developer to join a diverse development team. The ideal candidate will: be ambitious work efficiently have good problem solving and research skills be able to communicate technical problems simply and concisely and work independently as well as part of a team.
What Youll Do
As part of the Development team youll design applications modules and functions within our product ecosystem working under moderate supervision in a lowcode development environment. Our nimble and dynamic team collaborates closely to achieve our goals.
Developers are expected to:
- Work in teams developing applications using SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Utilize development tools for requirements management design development and management coding version control testing and reporting.
- Possess a solid understanding of the software development process.
What We Need to See (required skills and knowledge)
- 5 years of professional experience with the following:
o Full Stack application development with any major 3GL Programming Language (.NET preferred)
o RDBMS application development (MySQL or MS SQL preferred)
o Building backend and microservices for datadriven B2B applications
o XML / XSD / XSL development
o Experience in building REST APIs services
- Must have strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Must be able to work with peers in geographically distributed team environment including colleagues of other organizations across the globe.
- Fluent Englishspeaking candidates are preferred; good English communication skills are required.
What We Would Like to See (additional skills and background)
- Experience in any cloudbased (AWS Azure GCP) PaaS
- Experience in any cloudbased IDE
- Experience in DevOps
- Experience with Manufacturing domain
- Experience with any defect management system ex. JIRA TFS Basecamp Bugzilla
- Experience in any major version control system such as SVN GitHub TFS
