Job Description

Job Summary:

The Plant Controller will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the plant including budgeting forecasting cost accounting and financial reporting. This role involves ensuring accurate financial management providing insights for decisionmaking and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial operations of the plant including budgeting forecasting cost accounting and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Oversee the plants budgeting and forecasting processes ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance providing insights and recommendations to plant management.
  • Ensure compliance with local state and federal financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Coordinate and support external audits ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Manage inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff providing guidance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with plant management to support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee capital expenditure projects ensuring proper financial management and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical organizational and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
