Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: Puyallup WA

Guaranteed Hours: 35

Duration: 14 Weeks Contract

Pay Rate: $43/hr

Your pay is based on Local or Travel position. Travel is residence >50 miles from the facility

Key responsibilities of a PTA include:

1. Implementing Treatment Plans: Following the physical therapists plan of care PTAs help patients perform specific exercises and use therapeutic equipment to improve strength balance coordination and range of motion.

2. Monitoring Progress: PTAs track patients progress document their responses to treatments and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.

3. Patient Education: Educating patients and their families about exercises and activities they can do at home to support their recovery and prevent future injuries.

4. Manual Therapy: Applying techniques such as massage stretching and joint mobilization to relieve pain and improve physical function.

5. Administrative Duties: Assisting with scheduling maintaining treatment records and ensuring a clean and safe therapy environment.

PTAs typically work in various settings including hospitals outpatient clinics rehabilitation centers nursing homes schools and sports facilities. They must have excellent interpersonal skills empathy and the ability to motivate patients. Additionally they require a solid understanding of anatomy physiology and the principles of physical therapy.
