Job Description

Role: General Manager

Location: London Ontario

Salary $180000/year or to be negotiated excellent benefit package

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a General Manager to work with a globally renowned

automotive parts manufacturer in London Ontario

This is a great opportunity to work with a wellestablished team of professionals with a

Responsibilities & Duties

Customer Satisfaction: Deliver a highquality product and exceptional customer

service to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Customer Concerns: Address customer concerns promptly and resolve potential

issues before they affect the customer experience.

Business Planning: Prepare propose approve and implement the Business

Plan and annual Budget ensuring that targets are met.

HR Development: Develop personnel according to the HR Directors Plan

fostering growth and development.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to all compliance rules of the company and

uphold their values

Business Growth: Drive continuous growth and development of new business

opportunities aiming to increase sales performance.

Legal Responsibilities: Serve as the BU legal procurator.

Strategic Management: Develop and manage the units strategic plan by

identifying technological commercial and financial opportunities and

recommending objectives.

Objective Achievement: Meet objectives by establishing action plans budgets

forecasts and resource allocation while monitoring progress and making

necessary adjustments.

Management Effectiveness: Enhance management effectiveness through the

selection training coaching and retention of managers; communicate values

strategies and objectives; assign accountabilities; plan monitor and appraise

job results; develop incentives and conditions that promote information sharing

and training opportunities.

Goal Setting: Establish and implement short and longterm departmental goals

business and economic objectives.

Supervision: Oversee direct report functions including Plant Manager

Competitiveness Manager Human Resources Manager Quality System

Manager Commercial Coordinator and IT&K.

Safety and Quality Commitment: Represent and ensure high commitment to

Safety Environment Quality and Continuous Improvement.

Reporting: Provide daily weekly and monthly reports and updates to the

Regional Industrial Director and Regional COO through formal presentations and

ad hoc discussions.

Company Representation: Build the companys image by collaborating with

customers external organizations and associates; enforce ethical business

practices and represent the Business Unit as required.

Professional Development: Maintain professional and technical knowledge by

attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications

establishing personal networks benchmarking stateoftheart practices and

participating in professional groups.

Qualifications

Leadership Skills

Demonstrated highlevel leadership abilities.

Manufacturing Expertise

Extensive understanding and handson experience in manufacturing operations

specifically in tooling stamping and/or welding assembly environments.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing concepts analysis techniques principles

and practices (Kaizen FMEA PM Systems tooling material flow pull systems

etc.).

Organizational Skills

Exceptional organizational discipline project management skills and the ability

to analyze and interpret various types of data.

Proficiency in analyzing organizing classifying and structuring multiple pieces of

information and metrics accurately.

Strong judgment and decisionmaking skills particularly in evaluating the costs

and benefits of business actions (Cause & Effect mindset).

Critical thinking skills utilizing logic and analysis to identify the strengths and

weaknesses of different business approaches.

Ability to function effectively under pressure in a matrix management style.

Proven ability to encourage high performance and support the development of

associates (team development and talent development).

Product and Process Knowledge

Indepth knowledge of unit products and processes.

Expertise in Lean manufacturing concepts and tools.

Excellent operational organizational skills coupled with followup problem1solving team building and planning capabilities.

Processdriven with assertiveness in completing assignments and

responsibilities.

Clear understanding of budgetrelated issues including gross margin and C&B.

Technical Proficiency

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel) ERP systems and

Project software.

Language Skills

German language proficiency is a plus
