Job Summary:
- The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Provides quality of care consistent with professional standards in their professional discipline.
- Abides by medical staff organization bylaws rules and regulations.
- Abides by hospital policies and procedures.
- Documents all patient care information in the medical records accurately and timely.
- Works with all staff administration and community agencies to provide patient care.
- Ensures appropriate coverage for care of patients in their absence.
- Participates in continuing education programs as assigned.
- Notifies the administration of any adverse actions resulting from a malpractice action.
- Assumes an active role in the education of patients families and staff.
- Coordinates patient care treatment and services with other practitioners and personnel.

What you will need for Success:
- You must meet the following requirement to be considered for employment:
- Must hold a degree of medicine or osteopathic medicine from a school of medicine or osteopathic medicine that is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and the American
- Medical Association or American Osteopathic Association.
- Must hold a current valid license to practice medicine in the State of Indiana.
- Must hold a current valid Indiana Controlled Substance Registration Certificate.
- Must hold a current valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number.
- Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
- This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
Difficulty of work:
- Physician 3 you are expected to provide comprehensive medical evaluations and oncall psychiatric medical care to the most severe and persistent mentally ill or developmentally disabled individuals in the state.
- Clinical competence ability to work with others compliance with medical staff membership obligations and high moral character are essential.
Responsibility:
- Responsible for the provision of medical care to assigned patients.
Personal Work relationship:
- This individual will be expected to partner with agency personnel and related stakeholders working towards completion of assigned functions. Exceptional customer service is provided to agency partners and/or the general public.
- Partnership with relevant public agencies federal state & local governments and/or community leaders may be required.
Physical Effort:
- Depending on the duties performed or environment setting frequent walking standing climbing stairs or ladders bending stooping pushing pulling and/or similar movements may be involved.
Working Conditions:
