Job Description

Location: OnSite Las Vegas Nevada

Salary Range: $60000.00 $90000.00 DOE

Requirements:

  • Heavy Travel Requirements (30 weeks a year)
  • Current/Valid State required licenses for low voltage and CCTV
  • 3 years of experience with low voltage/CCTV

About the Role

This position involves the installation configuration and troubleshooting of security systems including IP and analog cameras NVRs and access control components. Responsibilities include running low voltage cabling working from heights and ensuring all systems meet customer and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Installation and troubleshooting of IP and analog cameras and NVR's.
  • Installation and troubleshooting of various access control components such as panels readers strikes mag locks etc.
  • Run and terminate wire (Cat5 Coax etc.) troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Ability to work from heights via extension ladders scissor lifts bucket trucks etc.
  • Basic understanding of CCTV client software installation and configuration such as adding/deleting cameras setting recording schedules retrieving footage etc.
  • Basic understanding of access control interfaces such as adding/deleting credentials setting door schedules configuring access levels etc.
  • Basic IP networking skills (switches and routers configuring port forwarding etc.)
  • Knowledge of low voltage network design.
  • Knowledge of security camera and telecommunication industry terminology.
  • Mechanical aptitude and being able to use hand and power tools.
  • Experience reading blueprints and schematic drawings.
  • Ability to work night or day shifts as jobs required.
  • Computer skills.
  • Customer relation skills.
  • Current/Valid State required licenses for low voltage and CCTV
  • Current valid driver’s license no DUI or DWI’s in the last 3 years no negative driving pattern
  • Ability to travel for projects. Travel is on average 30 weeks a year.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure CCTV and Access Control systems.
  • Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings which can include drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work
  • Complete all wiring connections and equipment installations ensuring that CCTV and Access Control systems are complete and satisfy customer and contractual requirements
  • Assist and interfaces with the Project Manager regarding onsite scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment
  • Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational
  • Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper functioning and to ensure system meets local county state or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements
