Job Description

We seek the skill and talent of a Database Developer to assist in the design and implementation of top quality database performance for a well established medical software company in Christchurch. Their innovative shared care platform facilitates better health outcomes for practioners and patients. Ideally you will have capabilities as a Database Performance Specialist or a Development DBA using technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server 2016 SQL Server 2019 or later versions.

Key capabilities:

  • Ability to identify and resolve queries that are slow or decrease concurrent access
  • Develop/update stored procedures to achieve high performance high concurrency and efficient SQL plan reuse
  • Consider index creation/removal opportunities to lift performance.
  • Know how to optimise locking and blocking capability
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or later (currently running SQL Server 2019
  • Should have a minimum of 2 years experience lifting SQL Server performance
