Position Title: Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist

Location: IC: NCI 10 Center Dr Bldg. 10 Room 8D53 Bethesda MD 20892

Weekly Hours: Less than 30 hours per week (24 hours)

Overall Position Summary and Objectives:

• Provide patient care coordination and implement protocol requirements during onsite visits.
• Recruit and evaluate clinical study subjects.
• Assist in coordinating and collecting epidemiologic genetic and clinical data.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams supporting clinical evaluation and followup.
• Provide patient education on care treatments and side effects.
• Monitor and oversee activities related to clinical protocols including patient recruitment.

Minimum Education: Graduate Nursing

Certifications & Licenses:

• Nursing License
• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certification

Skills (Ranked By Priority):

• Patient care coordination

• Outlook MS Word Excel

• Contribute to materials for Institute officials and health professionals.
• Develop outreach materials for students and the public.
• Review and approve education and recruitment materials for clarity and feasibility.
• Provide training to junior advisors.
• Conduct trainings for sites and network participants on policies and regulations.
