Job Description:
The Data for Autonomous Aircraft (DA2) Team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who will act as the first level of support and development focusing on updating/enhancing our current software automation of support processes and documentation of our systems. The ideal candidate is interested in a career in software development and is looking to utilize and expand their coding skills gaining exposure ranging from embedded to cloud based software applications.
- Preferred coding skills 3 years of experience and outstanding coding skills in C/C and Python and scripting in Linux shell scripts.
- Experience with hardware/software integration on embedded platforms keen on investigating and prototyping new technologies and frameworks writing and maintaining unit tests and automated integration tests.
- Will accept Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer or a related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty as equivalent to the Masters degree.
- The candidate is expected to be involved in system level architecture discussion focusing on updating/enhancing our current software and unit test coverage and being proactive in identifying opportunity to automate deployment processes and document our systems.
Some preferred/Nice to have qualifications:
- Experience with Linux OS kernel networking storage robotics programming AWS Storage (Management and Deployment) and image processing and/or machine learning.
