Job Description

job status: Accepting Candidates General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Management of 12 critically ill patients management of varying patient populations including critically ill medical and surgical patients with an emphasis on renal and bone marrow transplant as well as oncology patients. Ability to manage vasopressors sedatives analgesics inotropics antiarrhythmics and other titratable drips. Ability to assist with bedside procedures including RSI Tracheostomy line placement other diagnostic tests.

Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinet
Aleris IV pumps
MOOG Feeding pumps
Phillips Patient Monitoriug Systems
AvaSure patient Monitoring
Hamilton Ventilator
Hamilton V60 BiPAP
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
2 years of experience in a large facility over 200 beds and level 1 trauma.
Ability to care for critical ill patients independently.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
BLS must be AHA ACLS must be AHA NIHSS and ND or compact state RN License.
Shift or schedule requirements.
12 hour shifts. Every other weekend and holiday.
Floating to over units/departments.
Floating to all our critical care departments including Intermediate ICU with ratios up to 4:1
May be required to float to med surg units as needed.
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
18 beds
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
1 nurse to 2 patients IMC 1 nurse to 4 patients.

Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.
The candidate will get a total of 32 hours of orientation. That includes 8 hours of hospital orientation 8 hours of orientation to ICU RST and 4 hours of orientation to our Intermediate ICU and then 12 hours of orientation to our ICU. All of this will take place over the 1st week of the assignment.Name of Position Requirements

Min 2 years recent ICU experience within a large hospital over 200 beds
BLS must be AHA
ACLS must be AHA
NIHSS if does not have it must get prior to start
ND or compact state RN license list state in comments
EPIC experience required
Able to titrate drips
Willing and able to float to IMC unit (1:4 ratio) to take patients and assist in MS units with tasking of needed
Comments
12 hour shifts. Every other weekend and holiday. May be able to do 48 hours with OT after 48 and straight nights. cannot take anyone sooner than posted target start date. replacing current traveler. Will be required to float to all units in critical care cluster on both campuses including IMC (intermediate ICU) with ratios up to 1:4. Cannot take travelers who live within 60 miles of the facility. Can take travelers who live 60 to 80 miles from the facility for these client rate will then be reduced by $8.00/hour.
