Reports to: Finance and Accounts Manager
Job Summary: The Company is seeking to engage a suitable and qualified candidate as a Financial Reporting Analyst who will be responsible for preparing and analyzing accurate financial and management reports in a timely manner.
Compensation: N300, 000.00 monthly net + other benefits
In this role, you will be saddled with the responsibility of performing a variety of financial duties which includes but not limited to; compiling, updating, reporting and maintaining of financial information. Also, you will be responsible for utilizing financial accounting documents according to established financial principles, policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate for this role must be able to summarize and present complex financial data in an organized and concise manner. S/he must possess a strong business acumen with excellent organizational, analytical and decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensures accurate financial reporting throughout the company by working closely with the Finance Manager, Accountants, various departments, and management.
Responsible for Company-wide corporate reporting in line with extant financial reporting framework
Responsible for collating required documentation that reflects the companys financial position.
Reviews all accounting records postings for compliance with basic bookkeeping principles.
Ensuring monthly management accounts are prepared timely.
Responsible for generating individual project profitability report.
Analyses company income and expenses.
Check postings to project accounts and ensure entries are all project related.
Liaise with company external auditors for statutory annual or interim reviews.
Maintains an efficient financial information system.
Performs financial analysis, monthly variance analysis, highlights trends and investigates underlying financial drivers.
Drives continuous improvement in financial processes.
Monitors financial KPIs and other useful indicators and escalates as and when necessary
Statutory (e.g., tax, pension, etc.) scheduling, preparation of required schedules, fillings, and documentation
Liaises with accountants of companies that fall under his portfolio, to have a thorough understanding of financial operations
Provides prompt feedback and escalation as required
Performs any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Ability to summarize and present complex financial data in an organized, concise manner.
Keen attention to details with expert knowledge of accounting procedures and financial reporting practices and the ability to deliver accurate output in a timely manner.
Highly professional with the ability to handle information appropriately and with confidentiality.
Strong business acumen with excellent decision-making skills.
Pays attention to details with the ability to pick up soft messages and challenge issues appropriately.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Ability to take ownership of all financial and operational data while ensuring optimum accuracy.
Ensures improvement in all financial metrics.
Keep abreast of current and best practices, identify areas of key improvements and proffer innovative and creative recommendations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in and across various departments.
Minimum of a Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant discipline. Masters degree in relevant field would be an added advantage.
