A retail franchise is seeking to hire an Account Rep. In this seat, you will be processing full-cycle accounting payable, performing invoicing, vendor management, and check runs, performing cash applications, assisting with T&E processing, performing reconciliations, and assisting with ad hoc project accounting work. The ideal candidate has 1+ years of experience, experience with accounts payable processing, strong Excel skills, and experience using Great Plains is highly preferred, but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and year-end closing processes and prepare financial statement analysis and reports. Prepare Monthly Journal Entries. Run various reports (e.g., General Ledger transaction, customer and vendors aging)
- Execute account analysis monthly to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct and properly documented.
- Reconcile various balance sheet accounts which require very detailed analysis and investigation. Resolve account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance.
- Oversee and analyze all operating expense schedules and accounts. Track year-to date corporate costs and provide variance analysis against budget/forecasts to Heads of Divisions.
- Process reclassifications based on monthly expense analysis. Prepare domestic and international inter-company account reconciliations and invoices. Assist with questions and problems quickly, look to improve processes when needed.
- Support compliance reporting with bank (i.e., borrowing base compliance, calculation of bank covenants) and government (US census, financial quarter filing, R&D survey).
- Work closely with external auditors on the audit process by completing requested schedules.

- BS in Accounting.
- Written and verbal communication skills to share accounting information when needed.
- Effective problem-solving skills to identify and correct financial discrepancies.
- Experience using accounting software.
- Understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
