Job Description

Work Schedule: 100% onsite First shift (6am2pm) and second shift (12pm8pm)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct operational reviews at the start of every shift to ensure services are running as expected resolve known system anomalies and perform root cause analysis as required.
  • Generate and document process improvements to minimize future occurrences of recurring issues and mentor junior team members on new processes and procedures.
  • Work independently and in coordination with other IT disciplines to ensure smooth operations of the customer s multiuser environment including the implementation of STIG requirements Engineering Implementation Plans (EIPs) industry best practices and network security measures in accordance with customer and DOD standards.
  • Take ownership of customer issues communicate status regularly and properly document issues along with associated resolution measures.
  • Plan coordinate and implement network security measures to protect data software and hardware.
  • Review user requests for network upgrades or additions to assess impact on network performance and provide technical guidance.
  • Provide 24 7 callin support for systems outages with regular progress updates on resolution times.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in computer science or IT and 4 years of experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security CySA GICSP GSEC Security CE CND SSCP).
  • Active DOD TS/SCI level security clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.
  • Handson experience troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT business systems.
  • Experience in at least 5 of the following areas:
    • Configuring Cisco switches and routers.
    • Dynamic routing protocols (BGP OSPF).
    • TCPDUMP / WireShark.
    • Troubleshooting S2S/ DMVPN / IPSEC tunnel connections.
    • LAN and WAN network troubleshooting.
    • Basic firewall troubleshooting and configuration.
    • Basic ISE/TACACs troubleshooting and configuration.
    • AWS Cloud services.
    • VLAN configurations and VLAN trunking.
    • Spanning Tree Protocol.
    • 802.1x.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with DISA and DISA s support to mission partners.
  • TS/SCI with CI Poly preferred.
