Job Description
For our client a major player in the field of maritime works energy and oil & gas we are looking for 2 Tender Engineers.
Provides crossfunctional support from the tender phase (quotation costing planning etc.) on a FSRU installation project.
Be part of projects awarded as Method Engineer mainly to define and issue the methodology for the execution of the work list the necessary equipment associated resources prepare the detailed schedule of the work and prepare operationnal task plans to be followed during the operations.
Responsibilities :
- Assist offer / tender managers in the preparation of technical offers and prices if necessary.
- Ensure throughout the phase of the response to the call for tenders that the resources required to carry out the project are considered.
- Oversee technical aspects (design variants methods resources costing).
- Analyze and select the proper methodology of installation related to the scope of work in charge.
- Issue work procedure and detailed task plan as per project requirement HSE and quality project and client standards.
- Establish the required installation documents in considering the schedule of transmission of the deliverables to the client.
- Define the part of the installation scope of work to be subcontracted and establish the subcontractors scope of work.
- Establish the listing of equipment required for the activity in charge.
- Work in direct liaison with the project procurement manager to call for tender and analyze the subcontractor’s / supplier's proposal.
- Participate to the selection of the subcontractor / supplier and validate the technical dossier.
- Establish the schedule of equipment supply and resource plan as well as the overall schedule of the activity.
- Prepare technical review of the procedures for the project and corporate technical team comments and approval.
- Work in liaison with the operation engineer in charge of the performance of the scope and manage interfaces to ensure the feasibility of the operation as per the procedure.
- Participate in the process of lessons learnt.
- The Method Engineer could prepare the operation at site and ensure the correct understanding of the work procedures prepare the work kick off meeting.
About you :
- Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in a similar position in the oil & gas industry or marine infrastructure
- Proficient in written and spoken English and French
- General technical knowledge of offshore/maritime works
- Experience in responding to tenders
- Experience in writing methods
- Construction site/implementation experience essential
- International experience
The position based in Cassis (13) is available as soon as possible for a 6month term extendable.
