Textile Designer home soft goods

Job summary: Seeking a creative and experienced Textile Designer to join a team in the home soft goods industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing jacquards and/or dobbies and a passion for creating beautiful and functional textiles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop textiles for home soft goods including bedding upholstery and drapery
  

• Create innovative jacquard and/or dobby designs
  

• Collaborate with product development and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are producible
  

• Conduct trend research and market analysis to inform design decisions
  

• Prepare detailed design specifications and technical drawings
  

• Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Textile Design Textile Engineering or related field
  

• Proven experience in designing jacquards and/or dobbies
  

• Knowledge of home soft goods industry trends and standards
  

• Experience with fabric production processes and materials
  

• Proficiency with textile design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite NedGraphics)
  

• Strong creative and technical skills
  

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
