Statement of Work Details
Provides scientific expertise in order to conceptualize develop and provide guidance on clinical and healthcare related issues.
- Collaborate with staff on the coordination and integration of standard operating procedures among these Branches to facilitate the conduct of clinical treatment trials
Coordinate a team of clinical advisors
- Collaborate with staff on the design and implementation of new policies and procedures designed to improve the safety and efficient functioning of clinical trials
- Provide clinical care directly to patients enrolled in Metabolic Disease Branch protocols
- Provide clinical support to Clinical Endocrinology Consult Service
- Establish medical diagnosis for common shortterm and chronic stable health problems
- Perform comprehensive medical history and physical examination and interpret findings
- Order perform and interpret laboratory and/or diagnostic procedures Perform therapeutic or corrective measures
- Phlebotomy
- Placement of intravenous catheter
- Prescribe medications
- Provide emergency care
- Refer patients to appropriate intramural consultant services
Develops and coordinates curriculum manuscripts and speeches on clinical advising.
- Collaborate with staff on the preparation and editing of reports summaries briefing documents program announcements and presentations relating to activities of the Branch (institute or clinic)
Develops communication for healthcare providers and attends numerous clinical and healthcarerelated meetings and conferences.
- Prepare oral and written presentations for internal and external programmatic and scientific meetings 4
Develops outreach materials for students and the general public.
- Work with recruitment team to enhance/fine tune recruitment strategies and community outreach; develop ongoing relationships with referring agencies and advocacy groups.
Provide training to junior advisors.
- Conduct trainings for sites and network meeting participants on relevant policies and regulations.
