Job Description
Are you interested to launch your career in offshore online surveying
As an Online Surveyor Trainee you will learn skills and gain experience in:
Support to the installation and verification of Survey and Positioning systems.
Assisting with calibration of Survey and Positioning systems including alongside calibrations.
Performing QC dimensional control surveys.
Conduct observations of seawater parameters.
Understanding ROV offsets.
Supporting remotely operated and autonomous underwater vehicle operations.
Performingsurvey and positioning operations associated with installation of subsea pipelines umbilicals and structures platforms and jackets.
Assisting with preparation of survey reports.
Planning survey data acquisition to ensure compliance with client specifications and project procedures.
Ensuring that clear and accurate online survey logs are maintained stored and backed up.
Acting as Report Coordinator if required producing field reports and memos.
Communicating effectively during operations to direct ROV and vessel crew.
Participating in risk assessments and tool box talks in the course of daytoday activities.
Conducting all activities following Company Procedures and Work Instructions.
Adhering to Company safety health and environmental procedures and policies.
Requirements
Essential:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Geomatics Hydrographic Surveying or a related subject (or an appropriate military qualification)
0 1 year of relevant experience in survey related discipline
Understanding of offshore survey principles and techniques
Basic knowledge of industry standard surveying equipment and software
Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision
Ability to work both independently and within an international team
Fluent in English
This is an offshore role working on board company and third party vessels on rotation (35/35) as part of an in international team.Extensive travel is required to support the company s projects on a worldwide basis.
