Position Details:

• Title: Special Education Resource Teacher
• Location: Harvey IL
• Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
• Position Type: Contract
• Working Hours: 35 hours weekly from Monday to Friday
• Student Age Group: 5th to 8th grade.

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic social emotional and behavioral support and guidance to students.
• Create a flexible academic program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
• Evaluate academic and social growth of students maintain appropriate records of behavior and intervention.
• Assess needs of students using appropriate diagnostic measures.
• Measure progress of students towards set objectives and communicate their progress.
• Consult with classroom teachers staff and parents about the needs and services for students.
• Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Hold an IL Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsements including Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBSI).
• Experience providing instructional support and differentiating to meet the needs of each individual student.
• Ability to evaluate academic and social growth of students.
• Experience assessing the needs of students using appropriate diagnostic measures.
• Proven ability to measure and communicate students progress towards set objectives.
• Experience consulting with classroom teachers staff and parents about the needs and services for students.
