General Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead a new FMCG distribution company in Ghana. As the company is in its startup phase the successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing and growing the business. This role requires a handson leader who can oversee the entire distribution process ensure efficient and effective delivery of products and drive business growth from the ground up.

• Develop and implement strategic plans to establish and expand the distribution network
  
• Oversee initial setup and daytoday operations including logistics warehousing inventory management and distribution.
  
• Lead mentor and develop a highperforming team fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  
• Manage budgets forecast sales and monitor financial performance to ensure profitability and costeffectiveness.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
  
• Ensure all operations comply with local regulations and company policies.
  
• Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance financial results and strategic initiatives to the senior management team.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field. A Master s degree is preferred
  
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the FMCG distribution industry with at least 5 years in a senior management role
  
• Experience in establishing and growing a new business particularly in the FMCG distribution sector
  
• Extensive experience in the Ghanaian market with an understanding of local business practices and cultural nuances
  
• Excellent leadership skills with proven track record of leading and managing large teams
  
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to make datadriven decisions
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment
  
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
