Engineering Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and issue drawings design documentation and reports for all market sectors
• Perform both structural design and analysis calculations for structural steel concrete masonry timber aluminum and lightgauge steel
• Interact with architects engineers contractors fabricators owners and clients
• Provide direct onsite engineering assessments and field observations
• Resolve design and construction conflicts through construction administration
• Manage and mentor junior and midlevel engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in civil/structural engineering
• 1015 years of professional experience as an engineer with a focus on the design of structural infrastructure; Not looking for 20 years of experience for this environment / requirements
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) steel manual American Concrete Institute (ACI) code 318 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7 and International Building Code (IBC)
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
• Experience with RAM Elements STAAD Pro RISA3D Etabs or similar analysis software
• Advanced Structural Engineering: FEA posttensioning progressive collapse blast analysis/design
• Knowledge of processes of governing permitting agencies such as building departments and/or environmental agencies
• Understanding of other disciplines such as: architecture site civil mechanical electrical piping fire protection geotechnical surveying and environmental
• Experience with project management of major construction projects including estimating cost control schedule and contractor management
• Sound communication skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to pass Air Force background check
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
