Job Overview:

Due to an expansion in student numbers we are seeking a passionate and dedicated PYP Year 4 Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the PYP framework and a commitment to creating a stimulating and challenging educational environment that inspires students to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery:

    • Plan deliver and assess engaging and inquirybased lessons in accordance with the IB PYP framework.
    • Integrate a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Classroom Management:

    • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student wellbeing and promotes a love for learning.
    • Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Assessment and Reporting:

    • Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents and the school administration.
  • Professional Development:

    • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and the IB PYP.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources strategies and experiences.
  • Extracurricular Involvement:

    • Engage in school events activities and committees to contribute to the broader school community.
    • Support students in extracurricular activities fostering their interests and talents.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants MUST have the right to live and work in the EU
  • Bachelors degree in Education or relevant field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification/license NOT TESFL/TESOL
  • Proven experience in delivering an inquirybased curriculum with preference given to candidates with IB PYP teaching experience.
  • Strong understanding of the developmental social and academic needs of primary school students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage students colleagues and parents effectively.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
