Department: Interventional Radiology
Shift Timings: 08:00 16:30 Hours Monday to Friday 8 hours/5 days.
Per week: 40 Hours
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
- Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear usable images.
- Positioning patients and equipment explaining the procedures and ensuring patients comfort.
- Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
- Monitoring patients during examinations ensuring their safety and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Producing diagnostic images reporting important information to the Physician and updating patients records.
- Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies.
- Performing administrative tasks such as answering technical questions scheduling appointments and offering preprocedure advice.
- Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
Minimum Qualifications :
- This is an Interventional Radiology position.
- Must have experience in neuro as we are a comprehensive stroke and level 2 trauma center.
- Must be able to respond to the hospital for strokes within 30 minutes.
- We also provide services for our vascular surgeons and general body cases.
- Responsible to scrub in and assist physicians during cases prep pts and room clean procedure rooms stock complete exams and other IR duties as needed.
- On call during the week (15hrs on the day they work) and on weekends on a rotational basis. (Weekend call is 24 hrs on Sat and Sun. )
