Job Description
Adelphi is looking to recruit a psychiatrist to work at a facility in Petersburg Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide psychiatric services to diverse individuals and will be exposed to a broad range of psychiatric pathology with a varied mix of acuity and complexity.

Requirements:
MD/DO
Graduate of an approved psychiatry residency program.
Active Virginia license
BC
BLS/ACLS
DEA License
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments/evaluations of psychiatric illnesses.
Psychiatric medication evaluation and management in accordance with rational psychopharmacological practices.
Document response to treatment; enter orders for diagnostic tests medications and other therapies.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide psychiatric services to patients.
Timely completion of medical record documentation in accordance with the state ACT Model DMAS and CSB policies procedures regulatory standards and guidelines. Coordination and continuation of the care for patients in adherence to state and federal guidelines and discharge planning.
