IT Acquisition Specialist

Job Title: IT Acquisition Specialist (US Citizen Only)

Location: Albany NY(Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire IT procurement process from identifying needs to contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure costeffective and timely acquisition of IT products and services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and anticipate IT needs.
• Evaluate and select vendors based on quality reliability and costeffectiveness.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to secure the best possible terms.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement regulations and policies.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and vendor performance.
• Monitor market trends and stay updated on new IT products and services.
• Provide support and guidance to internal teams on procurement processes and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Acquisition Specialist or in a similar procurement role.
• Strong knowledge of IT products and services including hardware software and cloud services.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g. CPIM CPSM).
• Experience with government or regulated industry procurement processes.
• Prior Federal Experience Will be a Plus.
