Windows Administrator

Summary: We are seeking a skilled Windows Administrator to join our team in Eagan MN to support the daily operations of our client. The role involves planning coordination and implementation of server installations and maintenance ensuring the optimal performance of systems and providing offhours support.

Position Info:

Responsibilities:

• Plan coordinate and implement server installations upgrades routine maintenance and vendor patches.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures installation qualifications and documentation.
• Monitor and tune systems for optimum performance; provide performance statistics and reports.
• Collaborate with IT functional areas to ensure server availability reliability and scalability.
• Respond to Service Desk tickets and escalations in accordance with service level agreements.
• Serve as the primary contact for critical serverbased outages and communicate outage status.
• Define and perform server backups and recovery procedures; support business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide offhours support using a rotating oncall procedure.
• Maintain strong customer service orientation and dependability.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in a related field with 4 years of related experience in a technical position supporting server environments or an additional 4 years of applicable work experience in lieu of degree.
• Working knowledge of VMware Microsoft Windows Server () and Active Directory.
• Experience with VMware vSphere including deploying and maintaining secure servers templates snapshots and VM backups.
• Eligibility for a Position of Public Trust Clearance; must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and have resided in the US for the last 5 years without significant travel outside the country.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10 years of related experience in a technical position supporting server environments.
• Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN or NAS.
• Scripting skills and understanding of programming technologies including Batch WinBatch PERL PowerShell VBScript VBA .Net technologies COM and SQL.
• Experience managing a largescale hosted computing environment with hundreds of servers or more.
