On behalf of Praxis Automation Technology BV MARPRO is currently seeking a PCB Designer / Hardware Engineer Electronics to join their Development Department where you will be driving the development process with the support of your colleagues in other departments. Whether you are already wellfamiliar with ship automation navigation and hybrid propulsion system or you have a genuine interest in that type of systems you will be provided with sufficient training and onboarding to ensure you are fully equipped to carry out all the tasks.

The Job:

As a Hardware Engineer Electronics in the Development Department you are responsible for the design of electronics for our automation navigation and electrical propulsion products. You will be working together with the Engineering Sales and Production Departments and report to the Manager Hardware Development.

You are a person who likes to provide creative sustainable automation solutions to realworld problems experienced on board.

Additional responsibility:

Designing electronics for new products which includes schematic design PCB routing and HMI.

• Prototype testing of electronics for new products
• Improvement/redesign of existing electronics
• Implement Class Society type approval application procedures; testing and documentation of new products
• Support Project Engineering Department on problems they run into during sea trials
• Maintain contact with suppliers to be informed about new parts/technologies
• Maintain contact with Classification Societies regarding the type approval of our products
• Making production manuals and test descriptions for the Production and Test Department
• Making programs for SMD machines in our PCB Assembly Department

Your qualifications:

HBO level education with specialty in electronics electrical engineering or mechatronics

• Relevant work experience
• Knowledge in the electrical field
• Interested in working with automation systems/electric propulsion
• Customer oriented attitude
• Good communications skills
• Independent resultoriented accurate and positive attitude
• Preferable Full time available (40 hours/week)
• European Residence permit
• Proficiency in English
• Knowledge of design tools (Schematic and PCB layout)
• Experience in designing electronics
• Good analytical skills
