Job Description

Summary: We are hiring a Bilingual / Spanish Field Service Technician to work remotely and travel to client sites across the southern US and Mexico. The individual must live within 60 minutes of a major airport as travel can be up to 95%. Target base salary is $75k/year DOE.

Ideal locations for this remote employee could include:

South USA Texas Oklahoma etc.

Less Ideal but acceptable:

Chicago IL

Denver IL

Atlanta GA

Summary: The field service technician is responsible for helping clients install repair and maintain equipment. This position is a member of the service department. A few of the main duties of a field service technician are troubleshooting the equipment advising the customer on how to use the equipment building relationships with customers and following company procedures. They will work closely with the sales team to meet customer needs. This position must be customer oriented. The duties as described below represent the majority of the positions requirements however due to the dynamic nature of the role other functions may be required as set forth by the COO and everchanging business conditions. While the ideal candidate has a strong technical background they are also organized and structured in both thought and action.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Must be bilingual in Spanish. English remains the native and priority language but must be able to speak/write in Spanish.

Mechanical or Trade School or 4 years of infield experience in service and repair of applicable products may be substituted.

12 years field service experience requiring mechanical and electrical repair and troubleshooting.

Knowledge and the ability to read and understand equipment manuals.

Ability to use a variety of mechanical electrical and testing tools successfully and effectively.

Experience with machine tool repairs (or similar)

Must pass a basic mechanical and electrical assessment.

Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Working knowledge of computer applications including word processing Excel spreadsheets and CAD software.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of 3D CAD software. AUTOCAD
  • Sheet metal and / or fabrication industry experience preferred.

Formal JD:

  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
  • Cooperate with all teams and share information across the organization.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs and modifications on the mechanical electrical or software aspects of equipment at customer sites.
  • Assist in the startup checkout installation and testing of new equipment.
  • Create reports of the customers and machines serviced that day.
  • Follow all the companys procedures.
  • Instruct personnel at customer sites on the safety proper operation and preventative maintenance of equipment to improve efficiency of customer productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
