Job Description
This is a remote position.
Our client a fresh produce distributor is looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for performing and analyzing activities related to product costing expenditure product manufacturing analysis and inventory evaluation and making recommendations to reduce financial wastage and increase profitability for the region. Additionally it involves performing moderately complex accounting activities to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger management reports and financial statements to maximize the region s cash flow and minimize bad debts. This role will report regional financial results on a monthly basis to management to appraise the companys actual performance against targets for the region.
- Accounting experience in LATAM required
- Working hours will be 9am5pm Brazil Standard Time (GMT3)
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the region s debtors book: customer invoicing distributor commission calculation and payments receivables management receivables reconciliation.
- Daily bank processing: both local and foreign bank transactions.
- Contact and management of BPOs (Business Partners Outsourced) that perform local accounting in the countries.
- Monthly tax evaluation/preparation with BPOs and submission to authorities in the countries of the region.
- Stock control management and monthly stock takes.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of bills of materials for the site and product cost calculations.
- Perform monthend and yearend close processes including journal processing and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- ERP system setups: Business Partner master data setup/maintenance and material master data setup/maintenance.
- Assist in the completion of the annual statutory audit and annual group audit.

Requirements
- A Bachelor s degree in Accounting
- Preference for licensed CPA or chartered accountant
- 5 years experience in a similar role
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Proper knowledge of product costing calculations/maintenance.
- Knowledge of accounting regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
- Working hours will be 9am5pm Brazil Standard Time (GMT3)
A Bachelor s degree in Accounting Preference for licensed CPA or chartered accountant 5 years experience in a similar role Experience with SAP is a plus Fluent in English and Spanish Proper knowledge of product costing calculations/maintenance.
