Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description:

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the organisation s systems and network database to prevent unauthorized access and avoid data breaches. Secondly the position is responsible for managing and maintaining physical data centre infrastructure operating systems and databases.

• Ensure that systems are healthy and secure daily.
  
• Handle thirdline support on systems daily this includes managed channel products and services.
  
• Handle any Network Operational and Integration queries or support daily.
  
• Handle any Infrastructure Queries daily.
  
• Handle any deployments required on Production or QA daily.
  
• Deploy system tooling that may be beneficial to the business.
  
• Maintain and administer network infrastructure.
  
• Maintain systems within the environment such as Databases Load Balancers Server Operation Systems Monitoring Systems Hypervisors Logging Systems and any inhousebuilt systems.
  
• Ensure that weekly vulnerability scans results are tracked and vulnerabilities are remediated within set severity timeframes weekly.
  
• Review all daily and weekly BAU PCI Items for signoff monthly.
  
• Ensure weekly Internal and External Scans are completed.
  
• Perform data analysis reporting monthly.
  
• Maintain a strong security posture within the cardholder environment.
  
• Work with 3rd party to ensure the PCI Certification Audit is completed and passed on time.
  
• Review Security Commitment to third parties.
  
• Time tracking in Jira (Tempo) completed weekly.
  

Requirements

What it takes to succeed:

• Diploma/ Degree in information systems.
  
• 7 years experience directly working in the information systems industry.
  
• Experience working with PCI Audits.
  
• Experience in Linux MySQL and Cloud.
  
• Network experience working with OpenSource Firewalls Cisco ASAs and Cisco Switch Infrastructure.
  
• Ability to learn new technologies.
  
• Knowledge of PCI Audits.
  
• Knowledge of Linux MySQL and Cloud.
