Job Description

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE:

  • To lead the P&L for the POS payments portfolio and deliver business volumes and profitability.
  • Working with Heads of Payment Solutions Digital Partnerships and Payment Acceptance evaluate business opportunities to deliver targets. Own the product and solutions roadmap for the POS vertical.
  • Design product and pricing strategies in agreement with management and to work with internal and external partners to identify and implement new business models to improve the bottom line of the business.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategy & Leadership: Define communicate and lead the strategy and vision for the POS products & solutions portfolio and ensure alignment with the banks overall business strategy. Conduct regular market scans to ensure bank leadership positioning and identify emerging trends in POS products and solutions for relevance.
  • P&L Management: Responsible for the P&L for the POS payments portfolio and for delivering profitability and growth as per management directives. Implement strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability while managing costs effectively while delivering growth in acquiring of merchants merchant deposit and throughput
  • Product Development & life cycle management: Lead the development and enhancement of all POS product and payment solutions to ensure they meet market needs regulatory requirements and business requirements.
  • Own the product roadmap including defining strategy development and lifecycle management for POS business including hardware based POS (terminals MPOS) software based POS (Soft POS) and integrated POS systems.
  • Identify and lead continuous innovation for the products portfolio to keep leadership position in the market.
  • Process optimization: Identify optimize and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance profitability customer experience and merchant on boarding.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with payment schemes technology providers regulatory bodies and other thirdparty agents to maximize value for the bank.
  • Partnership development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with third party acquirers fintechs and other financial institutions for driving uptake of online payments and open banking initiatives. Foster and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Market analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the competitive positioning of Bank Pay s POS payment solutions
  • Performance monitoring & reporting: Define and monitor performance KPIs for product portfolio and ensure timely reporting to regulator management and payment schemes
  • Customer Focus: Ensure exceptional customer experience and satisfaction across all digital payment and open banking services. Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve service offerings continuously
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all products comply with relevant laws regulations & scheme mandates. Implement risk management strategies to protect the bank and its customers from financial risks.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of product managers analysts and other supporting staff. Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and accountability within the team.


Requirements

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelors/Master s Degree with focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas or
equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • 5 years working as a Product Manager for POS acquiring in an agile environment.
  • Industry experience; 8 years working in payments finance banking etc.
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Proven Stakeholder Management experience at various organizational levels
  • Strong analytical skills and result driven

  • 710 years of relevant experience:


Minimum Experience: At least 7-8 years of professional experience A background in managing P&L and Digital Payment products Job Specific Skills: Leadership Digital Products Stakeholder Management Behavioural Skills: Problem Solving Decision Making Negotiation Strategic Thinking
