ABOUT THE ROLE ...

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to tackle exciting challenges in our Core Content team whose mission is to source process organize and provide content to the rest of the company leveraging generative AI and other exciting technologies.

You will also closely work with the Core Engagement team whose mission is to provide services used by internal and external clients to drive engagement up in our marketplace and formats

As a Backend Developer you will actively find the right tradeoffs to bring new features in production securely reliably and effectively with attention on performance and constant improvement as well as cost optimization.

You will work inside a small and cohesive group with other developers with different experiences and as a senior team member you are expected to lead the most junior developers and help them grow professionally. The same is also expected from peers: we think everyone should contribute to the collective advancement of the team as a whole.

In addition to your backend and fullstack colleagues you will also work in a multidisciplinary and independent team alongside with product design QA automation experts data engineers and scientists in a multicultural and diverse environment. The ability to relate and productively work with people with different backgrounds and expertise is needed as well as the ability to challenge requests if needs be.

THIS IS WHAT YOU BRING ALONG:

• Knowledge of PHP and MVC framework (CakePHP Laravel Symfony etc.)
• SQL and NoSQL approach
• Knowledge of the Design Pattern concepts and SOLID principles
• Experience in using AWS infrastructure
• DevOps approach
• Experience in working in diverse and multicultural teams in an agile environment
• Experience in working and relating with stakeholders and coordination
• Very good in English mandatory due to the international background of the company

NICE TO HAVE:

• Node.js (plus: on AWS Lambda)
• Confident with the use of Docker/Docker composer
• Knowledge of Serverless Framework
• Italian and/or Spanish knowledge
